Design and Build Quality
The JMARY MS-98 uses an aluminum alloy frame designed to provide a more rigid smartphone filming platform than basic single phone holders. Its 255g weight keeps the setup relatively easy to carry, while the dual-handle configuration gives you two-handed control during handheld shooting.
The 25.5 × 11cm frame is designed around smartphone-based video production, making it suitable for creators who want a more structured filming setup without moving to a full-size camera cage.
Smartphone Compatibility
The integrated smartphone clamp supports a width range of 137–173mm. Before purchasing, measure the width of your smartphone and case combination to make sure it falls within this range.
The MS-98 is therefore suitable for many smartphones, but compatibility should be checked based on the actual device width rather than the phone model name alone.
Mounting and Expansion Options
The MS-98 includes 1/4 UNC mounting interfaces and cold shoe mounting support. These allow compatible photography and videography accessories to be added to the rig.
Depending on the accessory, you can build a smartphone filming setup with equipment such as compatible microphones, LED lights, monitor accessories, or other mounting hardware.
The rig itself does not include those additional accessories unless specifically mentioned in the package contents.
Wireless Remote Control
A wireless remote control is included with the JMARY MS-98. The supplied specification lists a remote control range of up to 10 meters, allowing you to control compatible smartphone shooting functions from a distance.
The package specification states that the included remote uses a CR1632 button battery, which is included.
